FAQ

Do you shoot destination weddings?

Out of town? I love to travel! Let’s chat about your destination location!

Will there be a second shooter?

Please contact Shaylee if you would like a second shooter as an add-on service.

Can I extend the session on the day of?

Please discuss with Shaylee Ray Photography, if there is time, it may be an option.

What kind of gear do you use?

I have used Canon cameras from a young age. Overall, I feel Canon has much better color rendition when it comes to reproducing colors and providing natural hues in the way we expect them to look.

Do I have to order prints through you?

No, you do not have to order prints via Shaylee Ray Photography. If you would like to print elsewhere, you may need a print release in order to be able to receive your prints from a print lab.

The biggest reason to have a photographer print your photos for you is quality control. Another reason is color profiles. Do you know the difference between AdobeRGB and sRGB? Well, one is for printing, and one is for web. Often, photos are converted to sRGB so that the color is accurate when being viewed online. But, AdobeRGB has about 1/5th more colors available than sRGB, colors that many computer monitors cannot even display. This conversion process is a confusing one, and when done incorrectly, your photos can end up looking dull in color when printed at a lab.
